China has launched its first Web site to provide health-related information and track users health records, a report said.
The site, baoxie.com.cn, is sponsored by an international foundation and health food manufacturers based in south China's Guangdong Province.
The colorful Web site provides information about diet, lifestyle and traditional Chinese health approaches to supplement users' annual health examinations, Chief Executive Officer Liu Ying told the Xinhua news service.
It also will track each user's health records, he said.
In addition, Liu said department store-like health consultation stations would be set up across China, for which users would pay an annual fee of $25.
The Chinese health site official said every 12.5 cents spent on preventive healthcare saves up to 75 cents in spending on medical care.
