A Chinese billionaire and two others have been executed in the killing of a man who threatened to expose the attempted slaying of another man.

Yuan Baojing was given a lethal injection shortly after a public trial in Liaoyang City, the official Xinhua news agency reported. Two co-defendants -- Yuan Baoqi and Yuan Baosen - also were executed, the Shanghai Daily said.

A fourth man also drew a death sentence but it was suspended for two years and will be commuted to life with good behavior.

The murder victim, Wang Xing, was accused of helping Yuan Baojing in the attempted killing of a businessman in southwestern China's Sichuan Province.
