A Pittsburgh man was arrested Tuesday night in the shooting deaths of two men in Sheraden.

Pittsburgh police charged Donte Brewer, 20, with two counts of criminal homicide in the deaths of Jamell Turner, 18, of Crafton Heights, and Charles "Chuckie" Lane, 19, of Fairywood.

Brewer, whose address was not available last night, was taken to Allegheny County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 28.

Details of how Brewer was arrested in connection with the fatal shootings were not available because an affidavit of probable cause was sealed.

Turner and Brewer died Sunday night during a shootout along the 300 block of Stadium Street. Wounded were Roger Henderson, 19, of the West End, and Jason Barber, 20, of Millvale.

Shooting started at 10:35 p.m., police said, after Lane stopped his car along Stadium Street to let a passenger out of the car and offer a ride to Turner, who was walking along the street.

While the two men were standing outside the car — with Henderson and Barber — a Ford Explorer pulled up and at least two men got out and started firing guns, police said.

Turner died at the scene, but Lane drove away to a nearby gas station, where he was seen loading items into another car that was driven away, police said. Lane was later taken to Allegheny General Hospital, North Side, where he died.
