Spectators at the University of Oklahoma/Brigham Young University football game over the weekend in Dallas were treated to Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. coupons, in a promotion to launch the Findlay-based retailer's mobile Web site.
Those with Quick Response-enabled smartphones could take a picture of a QR code, similar to a bar code, on the world's biggest HDTV video board at Cowboys Stadium, and go directly to the site. Others could use e-mail or a browser to get coupons.
Branding Brand, an Oakland interactive marketing and public relations firm, designed Dick's mobile site.
