Coffee: Not just your parents drink
It used to be that coffee was just an adult beverage.
Hot cups of java could be found in plastic foam cups or commuter mugs.
Today, teens are now among the coffee faithful and can be seen carrying a coffee cup everywhere they go.
How did coffee become such a fashionable drinkâ¢ Research now shows that teenagers drink more coffee than adults.
Some studies show that teenagers stay more alert and they are able to store more information in, because of the caffeine coffee contains.
Whether it’s for an energy boost or to keep warm at the bus stops, coffee can be found at many Mon Valley businesses.
There are many cool places in the Mon Valley area to get coffee. There is Sheetz, Get-Go, Kwik Fill, and many other gas stations. Not only do they have coffee but they also have cappuccinos.
The most popular flavors are caramel, french vanilla and toffee.
Many restaurants are now also serving cold coffee drinks, such as mocha, latte and cappuccino.
Of course, there are many other coffee shops, such as Starbucks, where the sky is the limit in coffee cuisine.
Whatever the flavor, coffee isn’t just your mom and dad’s morning drink anymore.
