Connellsville 11-year-olds fall

Jordan Vorrasi scored on a hit from Cody Fullem, but the Connellsville Little League 11-year-old tournament team dropped a 14-1 decision to visiting Rostraver in the second game of a best-of-three series. Justin Teets and Chris Dreliszak each charted a single for Connellsville. Ed McKlveen took the loss.

Tim Scott led Rostraver with a double and single, and Stan Bialon earned the win.

Rostraver swept the series, having edged Connellsville 5-4 on Wednesday at Rostraver. In that game, Connellsville erased a 4-0 deficit to tie the score before Mike Pablik scored the winning run in Rostraver's fifth inning. Jerry Spagnolo pitched the win.

Cody Fullem took the loss despite putting together a six-inning three-hitter and fanning seven batters. Jordan Vorrasi doubled and singled, with Cody Fullem, Sam Salatino and Zack Kern all smacking doubles. Justin Teets singled.
