More than 200 seniors from Connellsville Area High School voted for their representatives to this year's homecoming court, with a queen to be crowned during halftime of the Sept. 25 football game.
At Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center, seniors selected members for their homecoming court and held a second vote to determine a queen. They will be recognized at the upcoming football game.
Members of the CAHS Homecoming Court include:
• Kaitlyn Cavanaugh, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Carrie and Ryan Cavanaugh.
Cavanaugh has been a cheerleader for the past two years; is a member of Prom Committee, Good Neighbor Club, German Club, Recycling Club; member of the choir; and has participated in three CAHS musicals. She plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study elementary education. She will be escorted by Seth Bruner.
• Payton Hileman, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Christine and Todd Hileman.
Hileman is a varsity volleyball player and member of the National Honor Society and Prom Committee. She plans to attend Washington and Jefferson College to major in psychology. She will be escorted by Jordan Blair.
• Jenna Hodge, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Lori and Robert Hodge.
Hodge has been a cheerleader for two years; an All-American Cheerleader for two years; is president of the National Honor Society; member of Student Council, Prom Committee, Ski Club, Good Neighbor Club; participated in CAHS musicals; and is a longtime dancer. She plans to attend Carlow University to become a perfusionist. She will be escorted by John Przybylinski.
• Kiera Pawlikowsky, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Jennifer Steiner, Ryan Pawlikowsky and Joe Nativio.
Pawlikowsky has been a cheerleader for the past two years; is a dancer at the Premier Dance Center; secretary of the National Honor Society; and participates in the high school musicals. She plans to attend Penn State University to study chemical engineering. She will be escorted by Shawn Luzzi.
• Abigael Siecinski, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Angela and Joseph Siecinski.
Siecinski is a member of the National Honor Society, 4.0 Club, Quiz League, EnvirothonMock Trail, Peer Mentors, Good Neighbor Club, Patriots Club; and serves as president of Student Council. She plays volleyball and has participated in the high school musicals, reading competition and the PJAS. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh for business then continue on to law school. She will be escorted by Nicholas Jacobyansky.
• Haleigh Sigwalt, 17, of Dunbar, daughter of Helena and Jesse Harwell and Natasha and Todd Sigwalt.
Sigwalt is a three-year cheerleader; competitive dancer at the Premier Dance Center; member of the Prom Committee; and participates in the school musicals. She plans to attend Point Park to major in dance. She will be escorted by Alex Peperak.
• Lexie Silbaugh, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Christine and Jim Silbaugh.
Silbaugh has been a cheerleader; is a member of color guard, marching band, Prom Committee, National Honor Society; participates in the school musicals; and dances at Premier Dance Center. She plans to attend the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts to study acting. She will be escorted by Jeff Krinebrook.
CACTC queen, court
Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center homecoming court and queen follow:
⢠Tamika Cornish, 17, of Connellsville, daughter of Bobbi Youger, was chosen queen.
Cornish is a two-year member of the Health Occupations program at CACTC; secretary of the Health Occupations Technical Program; SkillsUSA president; editor of the CACTC yearbook; CACTC Slideshow producer; and took first place in the 2014 District competitions for opening and closing then competed at Hershey for the SkillsUSA. She plans to attend Westmoreland County Community College to pursue a career in nursing. She will be escorted by Bobbi Youger.
Other members of the CACTC court include:
• Sara Friend, 17 of Dunbar, daughter of Brooke Bartholow and Tom Friend.
Friend is part of the culinary arts program; was part of the marketing management program; and is a member of the CACTC yearbook staff and CACTC Slideshow staff. She plans to attend college to become a nurse.
• Madison McFadden, 17, of Leisenring, daughter of Misty and Geno McFadden.
McFadden has been part of the cosmetology program for three years; was CACTC junior representative on the Winter Sports Court; and is a member of the yearbook staff. She plans to attend Penn State to get a degree in nutrition.
• Dawhnel Wingrove, 19, of Bullskin, daughter of Elizabeth and George Wingrove.
Wingrove has been a part of the cosmetology program for three years. She plans to attend Penn State to earn a degree as a sonogram technician.
