The Pittsburgh Contemporary Writers Series, sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Writing Program, has announced the lineup for its 2009-10 season.
• Aleksandar Hemon , 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17, Hemon is the author of "The Lazarus Project," a National Book Award and National Book Critics Circle awards finalist in 2008. His most recent book is a collection of short stories, "Love and Obstacles." J. W. Connolly Ballroom, Alumni Hall, University of Pittsburgh campus.
• Anne Sanow , Drue Heinz Literature Prize winner for "Triple Time," and Ann Patchett, prize judge and author of "Bel Canto." 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14
• C.D. Wright , author of poetry collections including "Rising, Falling, Hovering," and "Just Whistle," 8:30 p.m. Nov. 5
• Sven Birkerts , author of essay collection "The Gutenberg Elegies: The Fate of Reading in an Electronic Age," and Maud Newton, blogger and essayist, 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11
• Nathaniel Mackey , poet and author of the collection "Splay Anthem," winner of the 2006 National Book Award for Poetry, 8:30 p.m., March 25
