An Indonesian man has been executed for killing his fiancee and three members of her family.

The Jakarta Post reports that Turmudi bin Kasturi was put to death by firing squad at an undisclosed location in the province of Jambi. Tabrani Soleh, a lawyer at the University of Jambi, told the newspaper that Turmudi's appeals for clemency to the president and Supreme Court were rejected.

Turmudi was convicted of murder eight years ago. He killed his fiancee and the other victims after finding a letter she had written to another man.
