More than 1,100 Pennsylvania consumers are eligible for at least $2,388 under a settlement between the state Attorney General's Office and Countrywide Financial Corp.

The consumers were mortgage borrowers whose loans resulted in foreclosure.

The settlement provides affordable loan modification offers to 10,200 subprime and adjustable-rate mortgage borrowers.

Countrywide agreed to halt its foreclosure process until each consumer has his or her financial status verified.

The program could be worth as much as $150 million in savings, the Attorney General's Office said.

For more information, call Countrywide's toll-free hotline at 1-800-669-6607.
