Cranberry police charged three people with shooting into two township homes during a New Year's Eve celebration.

Christopher Nemit, 29, of Arlington, Lucinda Jones, 34, of Finleyville, and Rachel Sherd, 28, of Cranberry, were each charged Tuesday with firing a gun into an occupied structure, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and related charges.

Police said Nemit brought a pistol and shotgun to Sherd's Robinhood Drive house, and at midnight, helped Jones and Sherd fire off several rounds.

At least two rounds hit a home on Sherwood Drive, and two others hit a home on Lincolnshire Drive. People inside the two homes weren't hurt, police said.

Nemit declined comment Wednesday, Jones didn't return a phone message, and Sherd could not be reached.
