Crews on Monday restored all Internet and phone service that workers disrupted in Cranberry when they accidentally cut a large underground line.
The problems began about 5 p.m. Friday, when workers installing a water line at Freedom Road and Executive Drive accidently cut the line owned by Consolidated Communications, an Illinois-based cable, phone and Internet provider.
The outage affected some residential customers, said Laura ZuHone, a spokeswoman for Consolidated Communications, but mainly hit businesses in and near the Cranberry Mall. The affected customers included banks, movie theaters and restaurants west of Route 19 that could not process credit or debit cards.
