Scottish health officials say the outbreak of cryptosporidium, believed to have been contracted after children. handled newborn lambs, may be waning. Some 104 adults and children have been infected with the contagious parasite believed linked to the Auchingarrich Wildlife Center, near Comrie, The Scotsman reported Saturday. Health officials said that a secondary infection has spread -- the infection was passed on from the infected children to healthy children -- in two nursery schools in Tayside. © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
