Women in Cyprus are trying to form the largest chain of bras in the world.

The attempt at setting a record is part of a campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage women to get regular checkups.

Organizers of the effort have collected nearly 115,000 bras from as far away as Alaska, the BBC reported Sunday.

Using the donations, they aim to form a 70-mile-long chain, eclipsing a record held by Singapore.
