Originally of Cameroon, Benedette Tankie (front), 42, of Irwin crouches with her tiny American flag for a picture with her children after her naturalization ceremony to become a U.S. citizen at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Pittsburgh Field Office in Monroeville on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Her children are Bryan (from left), 22, Abby, 11, Lewis, 19, and Julius Abia, 15. The ceremony brought nine candidates for citizenship to the new office, which celebrated its grand opening earlier in the day. The office was dedicated to the memory of Army Spc. Leslie Sabor Jr., who was born in Austria to a Hungarian family and who received a Medal of Honor for being mortally wounded while fighting in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.
