No one was injured but a house in Baldwin Borough sustained about $30,000 in damages Thursday morning after an electrical fire that started in a second-floor bedroom, according to the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s office.
The fire at the two-story house in the 3100 block of Vernon Avenue was ruled accidental, said county deputy fire marshal Gene Stouffer.
Firefighters were called just before 9:15 a.m., Baldwin No. 1 Capt. Brian Zimmerman said, and the fire was put out within 15 minutes of arrival by crews from Baldwin No. 1, Brentwood, Option Independent, South Baldwin and Mt. Oliver fire companies.
