Film legend Robert De Niro plans to star in a sequel to “Taxi Driver.” The 61-year-old actor, who played deranged Vietnam veteran Travis Bickle in the 1976 classic, has been talking to director Martin Scorsese about a follow up, the Sun reports. “We’re planning a sequel built around the character when he is older,” De Niro said. Jodie Foster co-starred in the role of an underage prostitute in the original. De Niro won an Oscar for his role as boxer Jake La Motta in the 1980 film, “Raging Bull.” © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
