The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled by Judge James J. Panchik at a sentence court on Sept. 1. Unless otherwise noted, court costs and supervision fees are to be paid by the defendant:
• Gregory Alan Shaffer, 37, of 211 Maple St., Apt. 3, Kittanning, was sentenced to six months probation on a charge of theft by deception. He was ordered to pay $200 in fines and costs and $156.46 in restitution.
He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
• Delton Michael Ion, 26, housed in the Armstrong County Jail, was sentenced to one year less one day to two years less on day followed by two years probation on charges of burglary, delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to pay $1,500 in fines and costs and $259.32 in restitution and must complete a drug and alcohol evaluation.
He was credited with 209 days served. He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
• Eric Nathan McCourt, 22, of 11794 Route 422, Kittanning, was sentenced to 12 months probation on a theft charge. He was ordered to pay $200 in fines and costs.

• Eric Douglas Holibaugh, 23, of 3685 Dayton Road, New Bethlehem, was sentenced to 18 months probation on a charge of criminal mischief and a summary offense. He was ordered to pay $410 in fines and costs.
He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
• George Byron Pyle III, 21, housed in the Armstrong County Jail, was sentenced to three months to 23 1/2 months on a charge of resisting arrest. He was ordered to pay $200 in fines and costs.
He was credited with 201 days served. He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
• John Wayne Rugh, 46, of 417 Penn Ave., Leechburg, was sentenced to 90 days to 5 years on a charge of driving under the influence, his second lifetime offense. He was ordered to pay $1,900 in fines and costs and must complete a highway safety course, a drug and alcohol evaluation and a victim impact program.
He was credited with 9 days served. He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
• Enice Salley, 47, of 441 Wilbur Ave., Turtle Creek, was sentenced to 48 hours to six months on charges of driving under the influence, his third offense, and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked. Salley was ordered to pay $1,050 in fines and costs and must complete a highway safety course and a drug and alcohol evaluation.
Salley was credited with 57 days served. Salley was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.
• Jonathan George Jackson, 33, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to 30 months to five years in a state prison followed by two years probation on charges of flight to avoid apprehension, unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, fleeing or eluding a police officer, simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked and a vehicle code violation.
He was ordered to pay $2,200 in fines and costs and must complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and attend Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
He was credited with 167 days served. He was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service.
