Decisions of Armstrong and Westmoreland County judges

The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled recently in Armstrong County Court:

• Robert James Hamilton, 33, of 123 N. Plaza, Apollo, was sentenced to 30 days to six months in jail on a charge of driving under the influence. He was ordered to pay $1,059 in fines and costs, complete a highway safety course, a drug and alcohol evaluation and a victim impact program. He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service.

• Justin Allen Brumbaugh, 20, of 1169 Wilson Ave., Kittanning, was sentenced to eight months to two years in jail on a charge of receiving stolen property. He was ordered to pay $400 in fines and costs and $891 in restitution. He was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service and was credited with eight months served.

• Diana Lynn Shea, 36, of 233 Sportsmens Road, Gilpin, was sentenced to one to two years in jail, with the final eight months under house arrest with electronic monitoring followed by two years' probation, on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance. She was ordered to pay $800 in fines and costs and complete a drug and alcohol evaluation. She was ordered to perform 30 hours of community service. She was credited with 12 days served.

The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled by judges in the most recent term of Westmoreland County criminal court:

• Brian James Zeiler, 34, of 305 Ash St., Melcroft, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking, unauthorized use of motor/other vehicles, burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. He was sentenced to three to six years in jail. He was ordered to pay restitution in of $8,284.94.

• Jason Dana May, 44, of 247 Sandalwood Drive, Allegheny Township, charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for six months.

• Adam Simpson, 24, of 240 Fairhaven Drive, Lower Burrell, pleaded guilty to corruption of minors, criminal trespass and terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another. He was sentenced to probation for two years. He was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Chad Joseph Dolan, 22, of 4479 Hilty Road, Murrysville, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for one year.

• Rynae Thelma-Nevada Baker, 41, of 98 Haser Drive, New Kensington, charged with retail theft and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for one year. She was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Timothy Hortert, 32, of 432 Argonne Drive, New Kensington, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft by unlawful taking. He was sentenced to two to four years in jail.

• Scott Daniel Flick, 19, of 4679 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for six months.

• Josh Bachman, 22, of 66 Spruce St., Harrison, charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, was accepted into the ARD program for two years. On separate charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, he was accepted into the ARD program for two years. He was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. Sentences are to run concurrently.

• Ronald Warren McMasters, 45, of 321 S. Second St., Apollo, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and resisting arrest/other law enforcement. He was sentenced to 50 days to 23 months in jail, with credit for time served.

• Domonique Cabarrus, 22, of 1123 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, charged with possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for 30 days. He was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Brenton Douglas Trenney, 49, of 1067 Blacks Hollow Road, Kiski Township, pleaded guilty to theft of leased property. He was sentenced to 45 days to 12 months in jail.

• Jerome Eshenbaugh, 66, of 1013 Third Ave., New Kensington, charged with resisting arrest/other law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct, was accepted into the ARD program for six months.

• Nicholas Eugene Lamkin, 21, of 44 Pine St., Harrison, charged with conspiracy, receiving stolen property and retail theft, was accepted into the ARD program for six months.

• Brandon Cooper, 19, of 2029 Victoria Ave., Arnold, was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in jail, to be followed by probation for two years, on a charge of arson. He was ordered to pay restitution of $13,116.97.

Cory D. Walker, 25, of 3763 Route 981, Bell Township.

Sandra Lee Weir, 56, of 703 Pleasant Valley Road, New Kensington.
