The Derry Area Historical Society is interested in talking to residents who live or lived in the small towns and villages in the Derry area, such as, but not limited to, Derry Borough, Cokeville, Livermore, Loyalhanna, Hillside, Millwood, Brenizer, Seger, New Alexandria, Kingston, Torrance and local farms.

The intent is to start a "Local History" series of programs twice a year starting in February 2003.

Resident of the various locations in Derry Borough and Derry Township area are asked to share their stories and memories.

Permission to tape interviews may be asked. Perhaps some could speak of their experiences at a meeting.

Our interest extends to copying journals, diaries and photographs. People in photos should be identified. Dates and places of the photos are desirable. Photos may be of any subject.

The society is also setting up two dates to copy old photos onto black-and-white film. Dates will be announced.

Those interested in participating are asked to contact the Derry Area Historical Society at P.O. Box 64, New Derry, PA 15671. A postcard will do, but letters are welcome, too.
