Veteran broadcaster Dick Clark will return as master of ceremonies for ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," it was reported Monday.

Clark missed last year's festivities as he recovered from a stroke suffered in early 2004.

But Clark says he ready to assume his familiar post in New York's Times Square Dec. 31 with "American Idol's" Ryan Seacrest, who filled in for him last year, Billboard.com reported.

Singer/actress Hilary Duff will report on Hollywood parties as perform three songs. The rest of the performers during the 3 1/2-hour broadcast will be announced at a later date.
