Altius is now open at 1230 Grandview Ave. on Mt. Washington in the building formerly occupied by the Georgetown Inn.

Altius is the second restaurant concept from B DeFrancis and chef Jessica Bauer. Their first restaurant, Bistro 19 in Mt. Lebanon, opened in 2006.

The restaurant serves contemporary American cuisine. Starters include sea scallops, white asparagus soup, beet terrine and more. Entrees include prosciutto-wrapped veal tenderloin, Berkshire pork chop, American red snapper and more. The bar offers an array of specialty cocktails, beer and wine.

Work is being done on the building's second floor, which will provide space for additional dining and private parties.
