Guests at this special dinner at Lidia's Pittsburgh will taste more than 20 dishes whose recipes appear in the new book and taste wines from Bastianich's vineyards in Italy, specifically chosen to accompany the flavors of the dishes.

The menu will include antipasti served family style of celery stalks stuffed with gorgonzola and apples, baccala mantecato, arancini, seadas, chicken liver crostini and rice and zucchini crostata; primi served family-style of escarole and white bean soup, Caesar salad, celery root, apple, arugula and walnut salad and steamed broccoli and egg salad; pasta course of spaghetti Trapanese with shrimp and calamari and ricotta manicotti in a light tomato sauce; secondi served family-style of cabbage roll, Grandma's Chicken and Potatoes, beef short rib braised in beer, marinated winter squash, smothered greens and grilled polenta; and dolci of roasted pears and grapes with zabaglione and assorted biscotti.
