Doctors Express, a Towson, Md.-based urgent care franchise company, will open its first Western Pennsylvania facility next week in Shaler.

The center, which treats non-emergency illness and injury, will hold a ceremony at 874 Butler St. at 5:30 p.m. March 15. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

Doctors Express has more than 50 urgent care centers in 24 states and plans to add more centers in the Pittsburgh market, the company said.
