The editorial ” A vicious ‘circle’ ” (Aug. 6 and TribLIVE.com) is interesting since the Trib has a problem with Christians going to President Obama, representing the poor. According to the teachings of Jesus Christ, we are to help our neighbor (i.e., the Golden Rule), and this what the Sojourners are doing.

The editors of the Trib would have been much happier if the Sojourners went to the White House to support tax rebates for the top 1 percent and welfare via tax subsidies for “poor” oil companies.
