DONORA - While making a stop for a driver operating a vehicle while under suspension, Donora Police ended up nabbing two suspects on warrants from neighboring counties.

At 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, police pulled over a vehicle operated by Brian Kelley, 39, of Pittsburgh. Kelley was operating the vehicle while his license was suspended, police said.

Upon investigation, officers determined that Kelley had outstanding warrants in Allegheny County.

At the scene, Kelley got into a scuffle with officers and attempted to flee. He was later apprehended at the corner of Ninth Street and Meldon Avenue after he was discovered hiding in a truck.

Donora Police Superintendent Jim Brice said Kelley is being charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and driving under suspension/DUI related.

He was released to Allegheny County sheriffs at 7:06 p.m.

Meanwhile, a passenger in Kelley's vehicle, Frank Rice, 37, of Monessen, was wanted on a warrant by Westmoreland County, police said.

He was released to a constable who took him to Greensburg, according to police.
