In our wonderful efforts to recognize our troops and support their patriotism, many local communities and individuals have tied yellow ribbons around our trees in the area.

The ribbons are likely damaging those trees, as they have grown since they were tied, and are choking the tree and its normal growth. In order to save these trees, please cut off the old ones, which you will notice have often disfigured the trunk, and continue your support by putting new ribbons in their place.
