Cable TV's Nickelodeon Monday announced the addition of seven more episodes of its popular kids' show "Drake & Josh."

The show won the Favorite TV Show award at last month's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, the network noted in its news release announcing the pickup.

The additional episodes brings the number of new shows during season four to 20, Nickelodeon said. In addition to acting, stars Drake Bell and Josh Peck will also get a chance to make their directorial debuts.

The series resumed production in March after a six-week hiatus to let Bell recover from injuries he suffered in a car accident. Filming will now extend through July, the network said.

Peck and Bell started their Nick careers as part of the ensemble in "The Amanda Show."
