Driver's hand gestures inappropriate, immature

This letter is about our local troops that came home on Saturday, Dec. 20. The troops that are fighting in Iraq deserve respect. All Americans should be proud of our troops for fighting for our country.

As the soldiers' bus was escorted on Route 28, there was a driver giving inappropriate hand gestures and being immature as the fire truck drove past him.

My question to the driver is: What would you think if one of your family members was among the soldiers who came home and a driver was being so rude• Don't you think if you were a true American you would show the support and respect to those men and women who had put their lives on the line?

So, please, support our local military.
