Drug suspects waive hearings in Monongahela court

Holly Marie Szedon, 22, of 429 Second Ave., New Eagle, and Ciara Cecile Laidley, 29, of 899 Twilight Hollow Road, Charleroi, arrested in separate incidents, waived their charges to court Wednesday.

Appearing in front of District Judge Mark Wilson, Szedon was charged with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Sept. 3.

Twenty nine counts of possession of a controlled substance were withdrawn.

Szedon is currently free after posting $10,000 unsecured bail.

Laidley was arrested by the Washington County Drug after allegedly selling crack cocaine to a confidential informant Sept. 6.

The detectives arrested Laidley when an informant notified them on Sept. 7 that Laidley was on her way to Monongahela to distribute drugs.

Laidley waived her preliminary hearing on three counts with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Laidley was freed after posting $10,000 straight cash bond on Sept. 15. She was ordered by Wilson to be sent to Washington County, Central Booking to be fingerprinted.
