Duquesne falls to Saint Louis in OT
Kevin Lisch scored 21 points and Saint Louis outlasted Duquesne in overtime, 78-74, in an Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball game tonight in St. Louis.
Saint Louis (13-9, 4-4) couldn’t hold a late eight-point lead in regulation as Duquesne rallied and sent the game into overtime on a jumper by Aaron Jackson as time expired in regulation tied the score at 63-63.
Jackson scored a game-high 29 points for Duquesne (14-7, 5-3), which was trying to get its seventh road victory of the season.
It is the second overtime loss in the past four games for Duquesne, which dropped a 99-98 decision to Saint Joseph’s on Jan. 21 in Philadelphia. The Dukes, down by two points in overtime, missed a chance to tie it again with 15 seconds left, when Jackson made just 1 of 2 free throws.
Tommie Lidell III added 13 points for Saint Louis.
Damian Saunders (14 points) and Bill Clark (13) both fouled out for Duquesne. Saunders added 10 rebounds and six blocks.
