SOUTH BUFFALO -- Armstrong County has added another to the list of tenants occupying its Northpointe Industrial Park at Slate Lick, just off Route 28.
Dynamic Manufacturing has purchased a 3.8-acre parcel for construction of a 14,400 square-foot facility to relocate its operation here. The lot is on Armstrong Drive adjacent to Hydro-Lazer in the park.
The building will feature about 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 4,000 square feet of office space.
The company will be the 10th to move to Northpointe.
"Any time you get that type of manufacturer, it complements the park," said Armstrong County Commissioner Patty Kirkpatrick. "Attracting quality companies and jobs is always our goal."
The board of commissioners and the Armstrong County Industrial Council announced this week that a sales agreement had been signed.
Dynamic Manufacturing is a full-service electronic manufacturing services provider.
The company, founded in 1993, engineers and manufactures printed circuit assemblies, cable assemblies and electromechanical assemblies for the medical, laboratory and oil and gas industries and other markets. Its operation includes electronic manufacturing service, contract design services and aftermarket service and repair.
The company is part of the Matric Group, the parent and holding company for Matric Limited.
Dynamic, currently in Harmar, employs 30 people.
With the new facility at Northpointe, company officials say they anticipate a steady growth in employment of 15 to 25 percent annually.
"We hope to tap into the workforce up there," said Ezra Mihalcin, general manager.
"We did an exhaustive search of the entire Pittsburgh area to find the best location to suit a lot of parameters," said Rick Turner, owner and president. "We felt it was important to stay fairly close to our current location in Harmar, so that our employee base would not have to change their commute too dramatically. We wanted to keep close to our established client base. The Northpointe location offered the best opportunity for future growth and sustainability for Dynamic."
"It fit our needs -- close to Route 28 and in a KOZ (state Keystone Opportunity Zones which provide tax-free status for a number of years)," said George Clark, Matric Group marketing manager.
Construction of the facility has begun and is expected to be completed within the next four to six months.
