East Franklin couple welcomes ACMH's first baby of year
Randy and Melissa Cloak of East Franklin welcomed their first boy at 12:08 a.m. Friday as the first baby of 2009 born to a county couple at ACMH Hospital.
Randall Ross Cloak III weighed 10 pounds and 12 ounces and was 23 inches long, said Anne Remaley, hospital spokeswoman.
Randy Cloak said when his wife woke up Thursday, she knew the baby would be coming that day.
"He came a week early," Cloak said.
The couple was very excited to welcome a healthy baby boy into their home. They have three daughters, Megan, Sydney and Emma.
Randy Cloak is a teacher at Elderton High School.
He resigned from his position as a field representative with Republican state Sen. Don White at the beginning of the 2008-09 school year. Cloak worked out of White's Armstrong County office in Kittanning.
