School: Jonas is a junior at East Allegheny High School.
Family: Parents, Katherine and Johnnie McLeod; siblings, Tanya Mitchell, 30, Kaneca Miles, 26, Tameka, 24, and Erica, 14.
Achievement: Jonas won first place in the Western Pennsylvania Moose Youth Awareness Program. He will progress to international competition May 1 through 5 in Boston. To earn the local honor, Jonas created a series of talks to give to area children 4 through 9 on the topic of self-esteem.
