Two former students have filed suit against an elite boys' school in Montreal, seeking millions of dollars in damages for sexual molestation by teachers. Both students are seeking $19 million Canadian ($16.6 million U.S.) from Selwyn House, the Toronto Globe and Mail reported. The school already faces a lawsuit from a third student, filed last September. Each student names a different teacher. One student names John Aimers, a Selwyn House alumnus and founder of the Monarchist League of Canada. The suit alleges that Aimers, a part-time teacher for four years in the 1970s, invited the student to his apartment, promising to help him with his homework, and molested him. The other suit, filed by a Montreal resident, says a teacher named James P. Hill who taught at Selwyn from 1961-72 forced him to strip naked and fondled him. The suit filed earlier names a teacher, Leigh Seville, who killed himself in 1991 after he was confronted with abuse allegations. © Copyright 2006 by United Press International
