Elizabeth Township teacher to stand trial in sex case
An Elizabeth Forward High School science teacher will stand trial on charges of having a sexual relationship with one of his students on school grounds.
Brian Brosh 40, of Hempfield was held for court Wednesday on charges of endangering the welfare of children, sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and aggravated assault.
The victim told police she was 16 years old when the relationship occurred during the 2003-04 school year. Brosh was suspended from the job on Sept. 8 when school officials learned of the investigation.
Testimony was heard in a preliminary hearing Oct. 8, but District Judge Beth Scagline-Mills delayed her ruling until the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office gave her case law regarding the issue of consent by a 16-year-old.
