Rap king Eminem took a page from rock king Elvis Presley and rented an entire movie theater so he could watch a movie with his friends. Presley would frequently buy up all the seats in a theater so he could enjoy films without fan interruption. Except the real Slim Shady, aka Marshall Mathers, one upped -- or make that 13 upped -- Presley by buying tickets for all 14 theaters inside the Las Vegas Palms Hotel and Casino's Brenen Movie Theater, "Access Hollywood" reported Thursday. Eminem, who is currently on the cross-country Anger Management Tour, treated his friends from Detroit rap group D12 to a hassle-free showing of "Wedding Crashers," the celebrity television news show said. While in Vegas, Eminem dropped about $1.5 million on a condo at Palms Place, which is supposed to break ground before year's end. It would make him a neighbor of MTV's musical "Newlyweds," Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, who have also bought a condo at the Palms. © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
