Thank you, Colin McNickle, for an excellent discussion of the hypocrisy of our state higher-education leaders in your column “Call their bluff” (Feb. 26 and TribLIVE.com). It seems all anyone wants to do/discuss is raising tuition or increasing funding.

What about all the endowment funds that many Pennsylvania colleges/universities possess• What is this money being accumulated for, if not for the benefit of the education of the attendees at their institutions• Future attendees are not yet defined; those now attending need the assistance.

I would love to see some expose on these endowments, their management and use. Is this something that’s sacrosanct?
