Erie County 911 dispatchers lose jobs, face charges
Two volunteer firefighters who face criminal charges for pulling false alarms have been fired as emergency dispatchers at Erie County's 911 center.
Brian Salvatore, 24, and Robert Burt, 33, had been on paid leave.
Salvatore was chief of the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Department and Burt was his assistant, but they have been suspended from those positions as well.
They are among seven volunteer firefighters charged with pulling false alarms in three Millcreek Township firehouses.
