Ernst & Young names Entrepreneurs of the Year for W.Pa., W.Va. region
Ernst & Young LLP on Friday named nine winners of its Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, who will go on to national competition this year.
They were Michael A. Cherock, CEO of AE Works Ltd.; John P. Burke, CEO of Armada; Dean Grose, president of Comtech Industries Inc.; Luis von Ahn, CEO of Duolingo; Edward Perrin, CEO of Karndean Design Flooring; David Levine, CEO of NuGo Nutrition; Paul Hennigan, president of Point Park University; William F. Sarris, president of Sarris Candies Inc.; and Pamela Petrow, CEO of Vector Security.
In addition, special awards were given to Richard P. Simmons, retired Allegheny Technologies Inc. chairman, as Master Entrepreneur of the Year and Heather Bresch, CEO of Mylan Inc., the Global Impact Award.
The event was held at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel.
