Everhart's daughter recovering from appendectomy

Duquesne men's basketball coach Ron Everhart missed the women's game between Duquesne and Pitt yesterday because his daughter, 8-year-old Gianna Everhart, was recovering from the emergency appendectomy she underwent Thursday.

The men's team dedicated its 99-80 win over St. Francis (Pa.) to her on Friday night, and Everhart had hoped to bring her to the women's City Game.

"She wasn't feeling real well today, so Ron figured it'd be better to hold her back," Duquesne athletic director Greg Amodio said.
