Experts pick best toys for ADHD children

Shire and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Thursday announced the top 10 toys for children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

Also announced was selection criteria designed to help guide parents this season as they shop for toys for a child with ADHD.

The list has been developed based on the specific needs of children with ADHD, including the need to better focus attention, to gain self-confidence and to learn to socialize and interact appropriately with other children.

The top 10:

Gertie Balls (for preschool, early school years), Cranium Hullabaloo (for early-late school years), Magz-x 106 (for early-late school years), Wonderfoam Giant USA Puzzle Map (late school years) and Letter Factory preschool-early school years).

And, Leap Pad Plus Writing Learning System (preschool-early school years), I Never Forget A Face Memory Game (preschool-early school years), Old Century Shut-the-Box (lateschool years), Deluxe Tumble Treehouse and Skycoaster (preschool) and Bird Diner Kit (early-late school years).
