About stores that are open on Thanksgiving: The U.S. has seen a fall of the family. Now there is one more reason this year.

My sister works retail and will have to leave her Thanksgiving celebration early so she can go wait on people shopping for Christmas gifts. Didn’t they have the opportunity to buy these gifts in September, when these products went on the shelves way too early?

I ask everyone to spread the word to not shop on Thanksgiving. Do it for families, so stores don’t open on Thanksgiving again.

I’m not shopping on Black Friday, either. We spend too much time worried about the material things in life and so little about family.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and their families — especially to our family members who will be working.
