The buttery yellow, three-piece suit circa 1977 was one thing. The fact that it was still hanging in Michael Senko’s closet was another.
But knowing he still fit into it after four decades?
“That’s the best part!” he laughed.
Finding himself in good company among a small throng gathered outside of the Warhol Museum on June 22 for Lending Hearts’ Bell Bottoms and Bright Lights party. Holding up the migration inside was due in part to Peter Tsudis and his ’81 DeLorean.
“It’s my daily driver,” he said. And as for the silver, custom sports jacket he was wearing?
“I had an artist do it. I asked him to make one that’s 1.21 gigawatts and this is what he came up with,” he added, referring to the famous line from “Back to the Future.”
Once inside, DJ Digital Dave was doing his best to lure people out of their seats for a disco or two, where Amy Lewis was catching a few second glances courtesy of her gold lame pants.
“I got them on Amazon. Everything is on Amazon,” she said.
Meanwhile, emcees Chelsea and Celina Pompeani took a break from their script for a little mix and mingle, while a congregant of thematically outfitted attendees posed for a few selfies in front of Warhol’s portrait.
And if anyone wondered whether Harold Ennulat would be sporting his afro again anytime soon, he had two words for them:
“Yeah, right!” he laughed.
