A 4-year-old boy suffered a broken leg when his father accidentally struck him with a car, according to Uniontown police.

Jonathan Edward Dennis, 26, of Uniontown, was backing up in a parking lot at an apartment building on Pittsburgh Street shortly after 7 p.m. Friday when "he felt as though (the car) ran over something," police said.

Dennis pulled his son, Baron Dennis, from under the car and drove him to Uniontown Hospital, police said.

The boy was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for further treatment.

No charges have been filed .
