It has been a good season on the mats for Pennesi. He won titles in the prestigious King of the Mountain and Powerade tournaments. What is your favorite memory of your high school career?
Getting to wrestle in the PIAA Tournament at the Giant Center in Hershey twice. I made it my sophomore and junior years, but didn’t place either year.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I’m planning to go to college to study civil engineering and hopefully doing something in that.
People may be surprised to know that …
I started to wrestle in first grade. I won my first big tournament when I was sixth grade. It was the state Junior Olympic Tournament 65-pound weight class in Johnstown.
What are your post-high school plansâ¢
I want to wrestle at a Division I school. I have three scholarship offers and am waiting on two more.
Name a role model in your life (other than your parents):
All the coaches who have helped me along the way. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for them.
