Fayette County man accidentally shoots daughter with muzzle loader
A Fayette County man accidentally shot his daughter in the arm while cleaning a muzzle loader, state police said Saturday.
The accident took place at 7 p.m. on New Year's Day in the home of Jason Eugene Swaney, 31, in Grindstone. Swaney's muzzle loader accidentally discharged, police said.
Swaney's daughter, who is 9 and whom police did not identify, was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. She was shot in the left forearm.
