Fayette man on run after double shooting
A Fayette County man is wanted for allegedly shooting another man to death early Sunday morning.
Thomas Edward Miller II, 31, of Masontown is charged with criminal homicide in the death of 28-year-old Charles David Springer of Ronco.
State police at Uniontown also allege Miller shot and critically wounded Springer’s stepfather, 45-year-old Andrew John King of Brownsville. Police said Springer and King were shot at 2:35 a.m. at the intersection of Ronco and Short Cut roads in Ronco, German Township.
King, who suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition, according to police.
Miller allegedly shot the two men with a 12-gauge shotgun after they arrived at the intersection, which is located adjacent to Miller’s residence. A warrant was issued for Miller’s arrest. He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and numerous body tattoos.
Miller also is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Anyone with information on Miller’s whereabouts is asked to call state police at Uniontown at 724-439-7111. Police provided no additional information, and the investigating officer was unavailable for comment.
