Britain's Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson may put her life story onto the silver screen.

Ferguson would be portrayed as a Bridget Jones-style character, overcoming adversity and the Royal family, the Daily Mail reported Sunday.

She reportedly used last week's Golden Globe awards in the United States as an opportunity for her aides to tout a script outline to some of the world's top film directors.

British director Gurinder Chadha, whose credits include "Bend It Like Beckham" and "Bride and Prejudice," was approached by Ferguson's personal assistant.

"We have been in discussion and the Duchess's associates are going to send me a synopsis," Chadha said.

Ferguson's spokesman Saturday night denied there were plans to make a film about her life.
