Actor Marlon Brando's aide of 50 years has filed suit in Los Angeles claiming his estate owes her more than $1 million.

Alice Marchak, who once was legal guardian of Brando's son, Christian, claims she is owned more than $800,000 in real estate deals she made with Brando plus $200,000 for personal items she was not allowed to retrieve from Brando's home after his July 2004 death, the New York Daily News reported Friday.

The real estate agreements between Brando and Marchak -- including proceeds of a home they co-owned and sold and his alleged intent to give her a cottage on Bora Bora -- were never put on paper.

"It's a tragic story. Marlon conducted a lot of business that way. He made a lot of promises to a lot of people," Marchak's lawyer, Joel Pipes, told the Daily News. "My client is prepared to go to trial."
